Spinal Stenosis

For information regarding Somatics and this condition, please contact the Somatic Systems Institute. Thank you.

Headaches

Many headaches, including tension, sinus, and migraine types, are alleviated through Clinical Somatics by the lessening of habituated muscular tension of the neck and jaw muscles, shoulders, and back.

Tension in the neck can cause great pressure on the connective tissue around the skull, as well as the blood pressure sensors, vascular system, and nerves that innervate the head and neck.

Plantar Fascitis

Plantar fasciitis is an inflamation or mild tearing of the fascia (soft connective tissue) of the bottom of the foot. It is characterized commonly by an intense pain of the heel and bottom of foot upon waking in the morning, and potential pain throughout the day, especially when pressure is applied to the bottom of the foot. Plantar Fasciitis can be caused by overuse or misuse of the foot, as well as by improper footwear.

Frequent Urination

Chronic tension in the abdominal muscles and the pelvic floor can restrict the expansion of the urinary bladder. When the bladder runs out of room, urination must occur.
Clinical Somatics works to free the muscles surrounding the bladder, thereby allowing it to hold more liquid before the need to urinate arises.
It is possible that frequent urination or incontinence are signs of other conditions, which should be discussed with your Doctor and Somatics practitioner.
