This site is operated by Somatic Systems, a worldwide resource and educational center for the general field of somatics and somatic education, healthcare, science, and philosophy, as well for many of the critical and foundational somatics techniques.
Primarily, Somatic Systems serves as the worldwide center for Clinical Somatic Education™, the groundbreaking pain-managment method and fitness system of Thomas Hanna. We operate the largest clinical centers worldwide, and are very proud to be able to provide access to this revolutionary (and, for now, all too scarce) form of truly holistic healthcare.
Along with our academic roles, Somatic Systems serves the public and provides and expands access to Somatics through it's 3 main divisions:
- The Somatics Center chain of Clinics, featuring Clinical Somatics sessions, Somatic Exercises classes, and resources.
- Somatics products, such as exercise videos, books, and equipment as well as professional supplies to support practitioners throughout the industry.
- The Somatics Professional Training Program, training the practitioners of this important field.
In addition to the services we provide through professional training and expanding clinical work and research, Somatic Systems Institute continues its efforts to provide much needed information and resources about Somatics free to the public throughout the world.
Somatic Systems Institute is not only the worldwide training center for Clinical Somatics, it also works tirelessly as archive and steward of the legacy of the research and clinical findings of this important field of pain management and neurophysiological potential.
