Deeply Human Movements presents a series of 4 classes of somatic education about breathing, featuring Clinical Somatic exercises to help you to Make Space for Breath and a Body-Mind Centering® class by Sylvia Maes on Nov 5th about relating Breath to Mitochondrial Function.

These two somatic modalities combine a unique first-person approach to learning with a system to not only understand yourself better but function better.

A series of 4 Somatics Movement Classes Starting on Friday, November 7th, 2014

Great for anyone who is dealing with pain or discomfort, recovering from injury, or who just wants to be able to move more freely.

In these classes, you will fine tune your ability to sense yourself in space through gentle exploratory movement; release habitual restrictions, maximize flexibility and range of motion, and find effortless ways to improve posture.

Are you new to Somatics or have you taken classes with us before? If your answer is yes to either of those questions then this class is for you! We have designed this class with the student in mind. This drop-in class is good for beginning or advanced students.

This is a great way to:
take your practice deeper,
customize your routines,
learn new movements for different areas of the body that can be done sitting, standing, and on the floor
bring in your concerns and get individual attention and instruction.

Somatics 101 Weekly Class: Starts March 10, 2008

This series is comprised of 8 individual lessons, teaching you to greatly increase awareness of and to release unconsciously held muscles beginning at the core of the body out to the periphery. You will also learn the "Daily Somatic Essentials", a sequence of exercises that can be done anytime, anywhere, in as little as 5 minutes, in order to maintain better flexibility, coordination, energy, welllness, and balance, resulting in a decrease of the aches and pains commonly attributed to injury and aging. Because this is a progressive class, please make every effort to attend all the classes.

Wednesday Evenings, 5:30-6:30, Starts Sept 26

Explore specific areas in depth, expand and deepen your practice, and learn to target your specific needs. Good for both beginning and experienced students.
