Somatic Systems Institute Clinical Somatic Education Training Program Semester 1, Northampton, MA Campus. This first semester training class has been added in response to additonal demand for a Northampton training opportunity before we move our next training to a new region.
Created specifically for massage therapy students, the Third Edition of Anatomy & Physiology: The Massage Connection elucidates anatomy and physiology with clear, concise language complemented by an extraordinary multilayer art program. Organized to cover each body system and align with current massage therapy curricula, topics have been streamlined so that those areas critical for massage therapy—such as the musculoskeletal system—receive special coverage, whereas excessive detail in areas not relevant for massage is omitted.
Kalyani Premkumar, MBBS MD MSc CMT PhD, the author of several anatomy and pathology textbooks for massage therapists, is an Associate Professor and Curriculum & Faculty Development Specialist of the College of Medicine and a Curriculum Consultant for the School of Physiotherapy. She is also an associate member of the Center for Integrative Medicine.
