Hello, Somatics colleagues! My name is Bugz and I am a current trainee in SSI's training program. I'm helping to coordinate the upcoming Somatics Reconnect scheduled for the weekend of May 17th, 2015. I'm following up after SSI's original invite to reach out and introduce myself, and to highlight a couple of important (interesting, compelling, exciting!!) points about the Reconnect.
This free informal session will provide more information on the basic physiology of our muscles and central nervous system that make us all suffer needlessly from chronic pain, injuries, aches, and the seemingly inevitable losses of aging. You'll quickly learn how this can all be reversed or avoided easily and naturally using the same nervous system that caused it in the first place!
This two-hour workshop is highly popular set of movements for the hips and shoulders — the two core areas that almost everyone can improve! Whether it's injury, repetitive strain, aging, sports damage, stress, sedentary lifestyles, or a career in movement or dance — our hips and shoulders are often the places we all feel the greatest losses and limitations as we live our lives. Almost everyone can enjoy hips and shoulders closer to the limitless freedom and fluidity young children do — even people who think they have irreversible problems. Featuring the crowd favorite known as "Scapula Scoops", this class will teach all people and body types the fundamentals to achieving real ease and the grace of an athlete. It will also provide people with painful shoulder, hip, and back conditions the tools they need to heal and improve.
The Reconnect weekends are back!

This apartment is basically a 2 bedroom, as long as one person doesn't mind the room dividers instead of a door. It also has another bed, so it could sleep 3 beds-worth of folks if they wanted to cut down expenses and share meals and such.
This apartment is well-liked space by several of our trainees, who were repeat renters.
