Deeply Human Movements presents a series of 4 classes of somatic education about breathing, featuring Clinical Somatic exercises to help you to Make Space for Breath and a Body-Mind Centering® class by Sylvia Maes on Nov 5th about relating Breath to Mitochondrial Function.

These two somatic modalities combine a unique first-person approach to learning with a system to not only understand yourself better but function better.

Class Teacher:

Breathlessess / Shortness of Breath

Chronically contracted muscles of the abdomen, chest, back, and waist can easily restrict the inhalation and exhalation of breath. There is a complicated and beautifully orchestrated pattern of muscular coordination between the diaphragm, the abdominal muscles, the chest, neck, and shoulder muscles, the muscles between the ribs, as well as the back and waist muscles that must occur in order to enable deep and easy breathing.
