Housing options for the training abound. Pioneer Valley's many colleges have lead to an extensive rental housing market. Summertime, when many of our programs our held, offers our students the opportunity for reasonable short-term rentals. Furthermore, tourism in the Valley means a robust year-round short-term rental market has evolved, providing many options even right downtown within walking distance of the campus.
Typically, students utilize hotel room in their first module. Discounts, specials, and a wide range of accommodations are available, from economy hotels and rooms that can be shared by multiple classmates for the same price to high-end luxury hotels. Of course, classic New England bed & breakfasts are plentiful, including some that are remarkably affordable as well as quaint. There are many sources for finding lodging, but you may find the list of hotels, motels, bed & breakfasts, and campground at the Greater Northampton Chamber of Commerce a good place to start.
Once they've gotten the lay of the land, many student transition to short-term rentals. Internet listings abound, on the Western Massachusetts section of Craig's List as well as the local newspapers such as the Hampshire Gazette's classified section.
Additionally, enrolled students benefit from our online student resource center, which includes a database of the standard local rentals that students use regularly throughout their training.
