My Experience with the Frelonic Pro Exercise Mat

sza's picture

Hey everyone,

I’ve been using the Frelonic Pro Exercise Mat for a little while now, and I figured I’d share some honest Pips NYT thoughts since I couldn’t find many personal reviews before buying it.

The first thing I noticed when unboxing was the texture, it feels firm but not stiff, almost like it gives back just enough resistance without being spongy. I mainly use it for floor exercises and stretching sessions, and what stands out is that it doesn’t slide around even when I’m doing movements that usually shift a mat across the floor. That stability has been a huge plus.

Comfort-wise, it’s thicker than the cheaper mats I had before, so lying on my back or side doesn’t leave me feeling sore from the floor underneath. At the same time, it’s not so bulky that rolling it up becomes annoying. Portability is decent; I wouldn’t call it lightweight, but I can still carry it to a class without too much trouble.

One little detail I appreciate is how easy it is to clean, a quick wipe down after a sweaty session and it’s good to go. The only downside for me so far is the price point; it’s definitely on the higher end, but I guess that’s the tradeoff for durability and comfort.

Overall, I’d say it feels like an upgrade from the standard mats you find at sporting goods stores. If you’re serious about doing daily movement, stretching, or somatic work, it seems like it will hold up for the long run.

Has anyone else here tried this mat? I’m curious how it holds up after a year or more of use.
