How to reduce losses in casinos?

haski nerin's picture

Can I ask for your opinion on a question that interests me? Here I am thinking: everyone talks about “house edge” and RTP, but how can these metrics really help a player minimize losses? Can they be used strategically to prolong the game, increase the chances of winning, or at least control the budget? Or are they just stats that don't really affect the actual gameplay? Would love to hear the opinions of those who are knowledgeable on the topic!

RTP (Return to Player) and “house edge” are key concepts that help players understand how profitable a particular game is. When it comes to minimizing losses, there are several factors to consider. Firstly, it is worth choosing games with the highest RTP, because the higher this indicator, the more theoretically the player can get back on a long distance. For example, if a slot has an RTP of 98%, then on average for every 100 c.u. the player will get 98 c.u. back. However, it is important to realize that this is a statistic and not a guarantee of winning. Secondly, house edge (casino advantage) works against the player, so, for example, in blackjack with the right strategy you can reduce this advantage to 0.5%, and in roulette it is always higher. You can read more about these metrics here https://www.back2gaming.com/gaming/what-is-house-edge-and-rtp/. In general, if you want to minimize losses - choose games with low house edge, and high RTP and play according to the strategy. But, of course, no math can cancel the element of luck!

I think the main thing to realize is that RTP and house edge work in the long term. If you play a couple of times, you can win or lose regardless of these indicators. But if you look at the distance, games with high RTP are certainly preferable. Although, if the goal is just to have fun, and not to “fight the casino”, then perhaps you should not be too much concerned with the numbers.
