Last month we held what we thought was our only free Somatics Clinic in Northampton until the end of the year. But then, unexpectedly, we arranged a last-minute meeting of this year's graduating class in Northampton, and so we have the opportunity one more time to offer our one day only, completely free Public Clinic this Saturday, March 28th, 2015, and you are invited to join us!
We had such a nice time at our special $20 clinic 2 weeks ago…Even though we had to operate it under 24" inches of snow!
Well now it's that time again: Our much less frequent and one day only, completely free Public Clinic is happening this Saturday, February 28th, 2015, and you are invited to join us.
After 3+ years traveling to provide training programs in other parts of the country, we are back in Northampton with our next Somatics Professional Training class.
The next Somatics Professional class starts at our Northampton, MA campus on July 13, 2013. Applications are being accepted now.
Somatic Systems Institute is now an Approved Continuing Education Provider with the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork. The Somatics Professional Training classes are also approved courses. Many of our individual courses that have been NCBTMB Approved are included in the Somatics Professional Training Program. This means you can attend the Somatics Professional Training Program, and earn more than 100 credits per semester -- the kind which many states require massage therapists and some other kinds of bodyworkers complete to maintain their licenses.
Somatic Systems Institute is pleased to announce that we are now an Approved Continuing Education Provider with the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork.
Most states require licensing for massage therapists, and most of those states require that massage therapists and some other kinds of bodyworkers complete NCBTMB Approved continuing education hours each year to maintain their license.
For the past decade, these popular free clinics were only available at our main campus in Northampton, Massachusetts. We are so pleased to be able offer a single day of free clinics to the general public at our new Duluth, Minnesota professional training campus at Yoga North school.
We have a limited number of slots available in our free Student Clinic Sunday, May 1st, 2011.
There are a limited number of slots available in Somatic Systems Institute's Student Clinic this Saturday, September 18, 2010.
If you have wanted to try Clinical Somatics or have any chronic pain, postural issues, or discomfort you would like to try approaching in a different way, now is a great chance! This is also very helpful for dancers, athletes, or those engaged in other wellness practices to enhance those experiences.
Due to the success of the last Athlete workshop we had here at the Institute, we felt the need for another one! This is a perfect follow up to the last workshop in April. More sport specific exercises will be taught and the entire 15 minute warm up sequence will be the focus. Didn't come last time? Don't worry! We will still be working with beginning Somatic exercises that do not need the foundation of the first workshop. Come stop in and learn how to improve your game, reduce injury and become more aware of your body. $25 pre-paid, June 13, 2009 (12:00 - 2:30PM).
