As a somatic therapist and educator, I bring together a variety of formal education, specific bodywork training, and life experiences in the area of healing arts. I am a licensed massage therapist in both Texas and Oregon, with over 1400 hours in my field, and have been practicing as a full-time professional since 1987.
I have been in practice as a Somatic Educator since 1993. I am a faculty member in Somatic Systems Institute's Professional Training Program, helping to train new generations of Clinical Somatic Educators.
As a massage therapist, I incorporate eight or nine different bodywork disciplines into a session, including trager, myofascial release, orthobiony, cranial-sacral work, zero balancing, deep tissue, Swedish, and a few others. The work is deep, therapeutic, relaxing and rehabilitating; and my clientele includes fast-paced professionals, post injury and post-operative clients, people with chronic illness and disabilities, children, pregnant women, and folks who just want to relax.
