Somatics 101

Monday Eves, 5:30-6:30, 8 Weeks, Starts March 8

This series is comprised of 8 individual lessons, teaching you to release unconsciously held muscles beginning at the core of the body out to the periphery.  You will also learn the "Daily Somatic Essentials", a sequence of exercises that can be done anytime, anywhere, in as little as 5 minutes, in order to maintain better flexibility, coordination, and balance, resulting in a decrease of the aches and pains commonly attributed to injury and aging. Because this is a progressive class, please make every effort to attend all the classes.  Missed classes can be made up at a later time, as we re-run this class regularly.  Instructor: Kim Saumell.  $90 per 8 class card, or $14 per class.

Somatic Exercises to
Eliminate Back Pain

Saturday March 15, 9:30-12:30

Participants in this class will learn the most simple, elegant, and sure-fire way to end back pain, deal with issues around disc problems, scoliosis, sciatica and others, and to improve comfort while walking, sitting, standing, or moving.  A must-do for anyone interested in feeling better and aging well.  This class draws on Somatic Essentials 1-4 and Thomas Hanna's "The Myth of Aging" 1-4 (as shown in the book Somatics).  Instructor: Jon Aronstein.  $35 pre-paid, $45 day of. Legs and Hips
 

Saturday March 15, 2-5 PM
