just a test post to make sure posts get received
There are 6 Comments
Hey, are you getting notifications when someone comments
Does the site send you a notification when someone like me adds a comment to a conversation?
I hope so!
:)
Hi Steve, I received both
Hi Steve, I received both tests. Not sure if anyone received my post from yesterday. I sent you a text about it.
Nancy
doesn't look like the reply
doesn't look like the reply gets attached to the original thread. I hit save and it looks like it starts a new thread.
Class, please reply
I hope this will be the final test of this feature (but there will probably be a few other tests over time!).
Notifications weren't quite working as of yesterday, but I think we've gotten it working now.
Can everyone who received a Notification of this post please reply? Ideally, if you can, post a reply to this post on the website. If not, at least please reply to [email protected] or [email protected] and let me know you got a notification.
I know some of your classmates are posting conversations in the online classroom -- and I want to make sure they don't go unnoticed.
Thanks!
Steve
I think your messages are here
Hi, Nancy,
It is getting attached to the thread. It indents in under the comment you reply to, but it's there.
Check out the page and see what you think: I'm curious if you like the ability to comment "within" comments, or should it be one long list of comments like on Facebook (we can do that on our site, but it just takes a bit of extra engineering -- no prolem though, as we want to make conversations as clear and unconfusing as possible).
Anyway, thanks so much for replying to this to help us get this un-bugged (not un-Bugzed).
You're right: As far as I can tell, no one got notice of your post yesterday, and that's exactly why this test thread was started: I was alerted of your post, but it looked like noone else was. So, I initiated getting this fixed before I replied to you, so your classmates will know about your posts. I think it's working now. The fact that you and Katherine got them is a good sign. How about the rest of you?
Nancy, re your text: My cellphone is still missing!! So, I didn't get any texts. Probably tomorrow I am going to tear apart the 2 parts of my basement I haven't yet where I think it might have gone missing.
Until then, call my home (413) 586-6661 or work (413) 586-2555 x2217 or send me emails. The phone must be dead, so I won't get any texts on it until I find it and charge it.
Thanks again,
Steve
