We offer individual, private sesssions in Clinical Somatics, where you can obtain maximum benefits of somatics most efficiently. Sessions are good for everybody, but especially if you have a chronic pain, injury, nagging problem, or significant physical limitation.

Sessions
Sessions consist of one-on-one work with a certified Clinical Somatic Educator, generally on a specially designed table. Movements are gentle, sometimes passive and guided by the practitioner, other times active with clear practitioner assistance and sensory input. All movement is performed within your comfort range.
Sessions generally last one hour. You will remain fully clothed, and should wear a comfortable, loose-fitting outfit.
Sessions typically involve learning brief, easy movement exercises that you can do by yourself to improve the benefits from your sessions.

As a client you will be guided through a series of specific movements to re-pattern or reprogram your nervous system by allowing your brain to “turn-off” muscles which are overworking and "turn-on" the muscles that have been under-active. When muscle balance is restored you will no longer be the victim of chronically painful muscle spasms.
Having regained control over your sensory motor system you will discover your body's ability to heal itself.
Since you are actively participating in this learning process and because your brain, the master controller, is being given new sensory information, changes happen quickly and immediately. Rather than having something done to you or for you I will work with you, resulting in a more lasting change.
You will then be shown movements to repeat at home that will continue to remind your body and brain of the new freedom you have experienced and reinforce this new learning.
Sessions are conducted at any one of our Clinic centers. However, we occasionally hold sessions elsewhere, sometimes during travel for workshops and presentations. You may contact us to discuss group bookings in your areas.
Special needs and circumstances may be discussed on an individual basis.
