Stewardship, Commitment, & Integrity
The core, founding mission of our company is to promote, preserve, and protect the integrity and accessibility of Somatics. That mission now means, most of all, an absolute commitment to and day-to-day occupation with both the highest quality standards and the popular and economic growth of the Somatics field.
The very unique nature of this equation is clear example of our win-win situation. For those in need to be able to fully benefit from Somatics, the field of Somatics must expand, and it will only help anyone if it is offered at the highest quality and integrity. Somatic Systems is at the front line and the center of this cause, and serves to steward the future of this field.
Community Contributions
Within our own community, our commitment is full-time. In the larger communities we call home, be they the local neighborhood of our office locations or within professional organizations and affiliations, although we are still a small company, we believe in contributing to the best of our abilities.
We donate healthful products such as therapeutic exercise materials to local charities, non-profit foundations, and school associations. We make our normal rental facilities (classrooms, exercise rooms, etc.) available to non-profit and educational organizations at significantly reduced costs. We provide occasional free or low-cost therapeutic exercise workshops to low income special needs groups in the community.
Community Service
We understand that not everyone has the resources to be able to take advantage of all of our services as readily as they would like to. For example, we know that there may be potential clients who cannot afford to pay for sessions, but have conditions that should merit in depth care. We also know that to serve the community and grow the field, we are limited in our ability to provide charitable health care services.
In another example of win-win solutions, as part of our Professional Training Program, we provide health care clinics to the public at extremely low cost or completely free of charge. Like a community hospital, practitioners-in-training work in a supervised setting to test their clinical skills and professional development, enabling utterly affordable health care to those in need.
Environmental Responsibility
Recycling programs and waste reduction programs are implemented at all of our offices. Conducting energy audits and implementing thorough conservations measures has not only cut our utility expenses in half, but has reduced energy usage at our headquarters, for example, by 60%.
Greenoffice Certification means Somatic Systems meets environmentally friendly certification requirements that include using energy wisely, recycling, using recycled products, and being environmentally savvy.
We also take great care to maintain a healthy environment for our clients, students, and the public through the use of state-of-the-art air filtration equipment in our clinics and classrooms and a commitment to the use of non-toxic cleaning products.
