Somatic Systems, Inc. Shares Corporate Update

NORTHAMPTON, MA — (Marketwire - November 15, 2007) — Somatic Systems, Inc. (SMAS - news), a leader in the field of pain management, is pleased with a successful progress in its expansion plans for the year to come. Somatic Systems' 3-part growth strategy consists of a nationwide rollout of pain management Somatics Clinics; increased production and distribution of therapeutic videos, books, and other Somatics Products; and expanded Somatics Training Programs to increase the presence of Clinic practitioners in medical and orthopedic professions and corporate programs. With 70 million Americans (33% of the population) in chronic pain, $60 billion lost annually in decreased productivity due to chronic pain, and $100 billion spent annually in medical costs, disability payments, and worker retraining for chronic pain, Somatic Systems' services and models are expected to be highly expandable and lucrative.

In the past year, the company has made important strides and strategic initiatives towards this growth plan. The Somatic Systems Institute Clinical Somatics Professional Training Program, the company's highest revenue generator, graduated two additional classes this year, and continued training their 5th and largest class. The program's 6th class will begin in January, attracting students from all over the world.

To continue the growth, reach, and opportunities for the Professional Training Program, Somatic Systems is completing the certification process to become the first and only licensed school to offer training in Clinical Somatic Education. This license will offer students exciting new benefits, such as financial aid through federal and other major lending agencies; open the door for continuing education credits to physical therapists, chiropractors, and massage therapists; and facilitate greater insurance coverage for clients. The Training Program has already begun a financial aid program for students this year, considered a "first" for a specialized healthcare institution.

CEO Steven Aronstein has described the company's greatest efforts to be in promoting awareness of Somatics methods and services. "Virtually the only time someone does not want to use Somatics to treat their chronic pain and injuries is when they don't know about Somatics," Aronstein said. "The same is true for healthcare professionals: Physical Therapists, Chiropractors, and Physicians exposed to Somatics treatments or Somatics professional training respond with tremendous enthusiasm and regret that they didn't train in this work sooner." Testimonials of clients can be found at http://somatics.org/about/testimonials, and professionals at http://somatics.org/training/cse/testimonials.

The company has spent much of the year increasing awareness and beginning strategic partnerships to increase this exposure and resulting revenue. In addition to presenting to medical facilities and corporate health programs, the company began targeting the U.S. military in an effort to help relieve soldiers of chronic pain, including meeting with and presenting Somatics to key military personnel, as well as development of a study for the Veterans Administration to assess the efficacy of Clinical Somatics vs. other forms of pain relief and rehabilitation techniques. The Company continues to work with local medical facilities and military personnel, including those affiliated with the Veterans Administration. Somatic Systems is designing clinical trials and will provide practitioners to work with veterans at targeted VA hospitals in order to document the efficacy of their pain-relief techniques and to make treatment available to veterans nationwide. Currently, nearly 26 million Americans have served in the military, and the VA currently serves 70 million people, including family and survivors of veterans.

Somatic Systems’ Clinical Somatics technique, often called "the best kept secret in pain relief," is gaining unprecedented exposure this year. The most exciting event to that end was the news that the Company and their technique will be featured on a television program that will air nationally on the Women's Entertainment television network (WE tv) and the Travel Channel, as well as in syndication locally in 48 other television markets throughout the country. Expected to begin airing the end of this year, Somatic Systems' segment will focus on educating the general public about the company’s pain management system.

This exposure is only expected to continue, with the recent announcement that two books are currently being completed about Somatic Systems, which will educate the public about Somatics, with a strong marketing focus on driving consumers to their Somatics clinics and professionals to their Training Programs.

The company completed an extensive redesign of their web site, providing an unprecedented service in the field, including interactive features such as forums, classifieds, and member specific pages. The web site serves as the anchor for the membership program the company also launched this year, designed to drive loyalty and increase recurring annual revenue. The system will allow centralized hosting, management, and communications between offices and employees, facilitating the national expansion process. The site upgrade also included the launch of a brand new web store, which also serves as the infrastructure to the company's planned roll out of retail chains and franchises.

Additionally, the company released all of its financial reports, exceeding the standards for Pink Sheets' rating for Limited Information. The company provided greater documentation as well as all historical financial statements for Somatic Systems, Inc. to work towards the highest rating of the new Pink Sheets disclosure categories and to prepare itself for full disclosures and up-listing to the Bulletin Boards in 2008.

In addition to other media stories covering the groundbreaking methods of Somatic Systems, CEO Steven Aronstein has been featured in a number of interview, most recently on WallSt.net, at http://www.wallst.net/audio/audio.asp?ticker=SMAS.
