SMAS - news) announced that a groundbreaking new book about Somatics is nearing completion. This work of non-fiction is being written with the goal of educating the general public about the healing benefits of Somatics and will serve as an introductory text on a national scale.
Somatic Systems, Inc. (Written by John Loupos, the book is in the late stages of editing, and will be ready to present to his publisher by year's end. A noted author with an M.S. in Psychology, Loupos has three books published on the topic of movement, fitness, and the technical and mental dimension of martial arts.
The final tasks before publication include the assembly of approximately 100 illustrations and photographs -- containing detailed figures rendered by a Clinical Somatics practitioner and photographs demonstrating therapeutic movement exercises for the neck, hips, low back and thoracic area.
This will be the first book on Somatics for the public -- including both consumers and health professionals -- since the authoritative book "Somatics" by Thomas Hanna in 1988. "Somatics" was written as an initial presentation of basic research and case study results that were achieved in clinics such as those of Somatic Systems. Expanding on this earlier work, Loupos' book will provide additional explanation and information with a clearer focus on how to obtain the impressive results described within. This publication is expected to drive patient traffic towards Somatic Systems as the type of real life outlet for Somatics that was not readily available when Hanna's guide was originally written.
"This book will be an extremely exciting event for Somatic Systems and the future of Somatics. There has never been a book published that shares the amazing results of Clinical Somatics while simultaneously informing readers how they can get treatment, products, and training," stated Somatic Systems CEO Steven Aronstein. "Along with national television coverage, this will bring Somatic Systems and our Clinical Somatics products to a national stage on an unprecedented scale."
