Somatic Systems, Inc. Makes Big Strides in 2006

NORTHAMPTON, MA — (Marketwire - January 8, 2007) — Somatic Systems, Inc. (SMAS - news) is pleased with a resoundingly successful year as it expands its presence in 2007. The company opened their Tribeca center in September to address a growing New York City clientele and added a satellite office in New Jersey just three months later to satisfy additional demand.

In June, the Somatic Systems Institute's Clinical Somatic Education™ Professional Training Program graduated its second class and in September announced that they could offer financial aid to prospective students, considered a "first" for a specialized healthcare institution.

In October, Chairman and CEO Steve Aronstein described a three-part strategy for expanding the business nationwide. The first was to increase enrollment in the three-year training program, which adds the largest percentage of revenue to the company. The second was to increase the number of one-on-one sessions in clinics offered by certified Total Somatics™ clinical practitioners and the third was to build retail and online product sales of the Company's reference materials including books, audio products and practitioner tools. Somatic Systems also increased class sizes for the Total Somatics™ training program and reported revenues generated from it totaling $86,400, up from $48,800 in 2005.

The Somatic Systems, Inc. Maplewood, NJ center doubled its anticipated client base in its first two weeks and the Company gained many new clients in the New York Metropolitan area in a short period of time. They also had a strong turnout to their first major workshop at the Tribeca location in December.

"This has been a remarkable year and we are very excited about the continued increase in class enrollment and clientele. Our marketing campaign was originally based on word-of-mouth and that has worked splendidly. We hope to increase class enrollment to 40 students in each class and look forward to opening Somatics treatment centers beyond the East Coast," stated Steve Aronstein, Chairman and CEO of Somatic Systems, Inc.
