Client wanting more info - the video is great!

Steve, Patience and everyone!  I had someone call me today with some serious pain - 20 years of computer work. He's tried everything and nothing has had a lasting effect.  He found my website (not related to Somatics), described his symptoms and we had a conversation about Somatics and how it could help. He was very interested, was ready to set an appointment for next week, but balked because of the price.  I told him $120 for first session (1.5 hours), $80 each additional.  His wife works in a hospital and he knew she would have lots of questions.  He didn't say what she did, could've been anything. I gave him the somatics.org website.  I then went to see what was on there and saw the great 8 minute video, which he will see as well. It answered a lot of questions. Then there was the list of complaints that are helped.  Everything I covered, which he has problems with, was addressed with the video and list.

I'm sure there's more on there, I didn't go further.

So this post is to encourage you to send people to the site if you don't feel you are yet able to answer questions. Or, even if you do feel you are able, it is reinforcement from another source.

Steve, can we get a copy of this video so we can put it on our computers and make it simple to share that way?  It really is great (and also fun to see Patience and John on the video).

Thanks, Nancy! We appreciate the feedback.

We have tried to build out our site with marketing/education tools like this for all of you guys. Our site serves many masters -- educating about the training, supporting your training, helping our clients -- but a major priority is also the public education you describe and we are adding to that and developing it as fast as we can. As most of you with websites know, that can take a while.

Anything else you think your clients could benefit from, resources and information you'd like on there to share with them in building your practice, please do let us know.

Regarding the video, I'm pretty sure we can give you copies of it (have to check on a few issues like copyright, but pretty sure it's not a problem). However, you might find it's easier simply to link to the online version. Nowadays most people do it that way: Videos are such large file sizes that most people find it easier to link to the original than host or hold onto a copy themselves.

The best way to get it is via YouTube, since they have the most bandwidth to offer the best broadcast quality for your clients. You can embed it on your website (most websites will let you do this; I know our web site system I mentioned to you guys lets you embed this video and any others you want on your site easily), you can send links to it to your clients by email etc.

Here's the YouTube link for the video:

Here's the link to it on our site:

Please let me know if you have any trouble accessing or sharing this video or have other questions about it.

We do ask you to give us credit if you share this (of course, you can use it to market your own practice and your own contact info), say, on your website.

Again, do let me know if this isn't a sufficient way to "have" and use this video for your clients etc.

-Steve
