The Somatics Center is a service of the Somatic Systems Institute. The Center is our internet resource center, featuring articles and essays on somatics, practitioner lists, and somatics products. The Center includes The Soma Shop online somatics general store, accessible by clicking the PRODUCTS button on this site.
Collectively in all our services we are a national resource center for somatic education, health care, science, and philosophy.
Our goal is to help others discover and benefit from somatic work in whichever ways are important and useful for them. As the scope of somatic work is so vast and fundamental, this might mean any number of forms, such as ...clinic or group movement classes for health. ...classroom and curricula for integrated, more effective learning. ...office and home ergonomics for improved work efficiency and decreased injury and stress disorders. ...athletic endeavors for improved performance and injury prevention. ...the teaching and learning of mathematics, the sciences, music, dance, and the arts.
The somatics terrain is a broad one, one which is both exciting and confusing, saturated with practitioners and students, findings and philosophies, pioneers and modalities.

We make available resources for somatic self-help and academic pursuit, such as the material available here in The Somatics Center and the products featured in The Soma Shop. We offer information - on work in somatic fields, on practitioners and educators, and on other resource centers and sources of information.
