Boguslawa (Bogusia) Badon was born in Wroclaw, Poland where she initially studied to become a physical education instructor. However, she then decided that she wanted to combine her interest in human physiology with her love of fitness and extended her training in the direction of rehabilitation. After moving to the United States, she received her certification in physical therapy in Connecticut and Massachusetts and founded Farmington Valley Physical Therapy. Noreen discovered Somatics when she had both upper and lower back pain, achy legs, painful feet, tight shoulders, and numbness in her arms…symptoms that all manifested during a particularly stressful time in her life. She initially sought the help of a chiropractor, starting with several times a week, with some relief, but new pains kept emerging.
