Shipping Information and Policies

Your Personal Information & Security

We strive to make your shopping experience a satisfying one.  You are entrusting us to deliver these items to you; thus, as is standard practice for online retailers, all orders require an email address and phone number at which we can contact you.  These requirements are for your security (to verify you are a real person and you are who you say you are), and to make sure your data is secure and not compromised.  Furthermore, credit card processors generally require a phone number to authorize your credit card payment.  If a valid phone number and email address are not provided, we can not guarantee your items will reach you as expected.

Shipping Prices

Shipping options and prices vary per item.  Some items, such as large furniture, may require additional or specialized shipping charges; some of these charges may be determined and billed after the time you make your initial order and payment.  Some items may not present shipping options when you check out; in this event, we may contact you with additional required shipping charges, and payment of these charges may be required before your can ship.

Some items may incur additional shipping charges, which is sometimes noted on the product's detail screen. For large quantity orders, charges may be lower. Rates vary, depending on weight and shipping distance. We reserve the right to bill for additional shipping costs, should the amount be significantly greater than estimated. Conversely, we will credit your account if shipping costs are significantly lower than estimated. Rates are subject to change without notice.

Delivery Time

While shipping quotes may indicate an estimated delivery time, please note that these reflect the time frame the shipping vendor takes to transport your items.  Receipt of orders may take additional time than the shipping quote estimate, due to handling, special procurement procedures, custom orders and custom configurations, build-to-order items, item rarity, warehouse delays, vendor or other third party delays, backorder or partial backorder conditions, special fulfillment procedures for some items such as shipment from a specialized or remote warehouse, or customer's failure to respond or delay in response to our communications regarding the order.

If you require an item to arrive express shipping or within a specific or expedited timeframe, please contact us about this or include comments in the comments and special instructions field when you complete your order.

All damaged items are processed according to our returns policies. Damaged items delivered are considered delivered for the purposes of any guaranteed delivery dates and time.

Missing Items

If you do not receive an item or package you ordered, please contact us right away. If you decide you no longer want to receive an item, you must cancel your order with us directly as per our cancelation policies for your order to be considered canceled.  

International Orders

If your country and shipping rates are not presented to you, it is very likely we can still ship to you.  Contact us for more information on your shipping rates. Please make payment in U.S. funds by bank draft or money order payable through a U.S. bank, or by MasterCard or Visa.  Shipping charges may vary, and we reserve the right to adjust them due to unique costs or shipper charges for your destination.

Some international destinations may incur customs surcharges or other fees.  We reserve the right to bill you for these charges if they are billed to us. You are responsible for any surcharges required by your local shipping agent or municipality. 

Shipment Tracking

Once your item has been shipped, you may receive a shipping notification via email or tracking information may be available in your order information on our website. Orders that have not been received within the expected time frame must be reported within 45 days of receiving the shipping notification. After this time, items can no longer be tracked and are therefore not the responsibility of Somatic Systems Institute, or any of its retail locations or subsidiary companies.

Items that are shipped Media Mail or Parcel Post can not be tracked by the United States Postal Service and are therefore not the responsibility of Somatic Systems Institute, or any of its retail locations or subsidiary companies (including in the event of items that arrived damaged, are lost, are delivered improperly or without acceptance by the intended recipient, or do not arrive at all). Additionally, these shipping methods are generally extremely slow, and delivery time cannot be guaranteed or reliably estimated.
