For $90, organizations can purchase Institutional memberships, which provide benefits similar to those for healthcare professionals, with the addition of exercise class discounts for multiple employees of the member institution and VIP access to corporate wellness programs and services.

All membership categories include subscriptions to the company’s landmark new consumer Somatics magazine, the first and only periodical in history about Somatics for the general public, to be launched in late December of this year.

Professional and Institutional memberships are designed to create incentives and opportunities for influential authorities to propagate Somatics products and services. Institutional memberships are the first stage in Somatic Systems' larger project of developing a Corporate membership program, enabling the company to provide attractively priced packages of proprietary Somatics injury prevention, pain management and workplace wellness services to enterprise and industry nationwide. With 70 million Americans (33% of the population) in chronic pain, $60 billion lost annually in decreased productivity due to chronic pain, and $100 billion spent annually in medical costs, disability payments, and worker retraining for chronic pain, corporate programs are expected to be a highly expandable and lucrative avenue for Somatic Systems.

Memberships for Clinical Somatics practitioners ($150) and practitioners-in-training ($60) will provide a multitude of benefits indispensable to the Somatics professional, including the only professional Somatics forums and online support systems worldwide, wholesale discounts on Somatics products, and subscriptions to the new professional journal “The Looking Glass”. Premium packages are also available for $350, providing extremely low-cost, high coverage professional liability insurance specially tailored for Clinical Somatics practices. To generate maximum community response, practitioners' basic membership dues will be waived for the first year, enabling the entire community to become fully engaged with the company's suite of professional services, unavailable anywhere else, before being billed.

This practitioner membership program is a revolutionary effort to unite the industry, foster continual learning, facilitate the highest professional standards, and support practitioner success. The program will maintain Somatic Systems as the leading institution in Somatics training and services. As the professional community and customer bases expand, earnings generated from the benefits program will be an important part of Somatics Systems dependable revenue stream. The group insurance benefit alone has proven to drive membership, and product discounts position the company as a wholesaler to the entire profession. Additionally, advertising revenue will be generated from both the consumer magazine and the professional journal.
